Toledo Speedway Releases 2023 Schedule

35th Glass City 200 to be a 200 Lap ASA Race

Detroit, MI (December 22, 2022) - Officials from Toledo Speedway have released their 2023 racing schedule at the famed half-mile oval in Toledo, Ohio. Seven race events are schedule between May and October consisting of a combination of local divisions and national touring series.

The USAC Silver Crown Series is the first of those national tours to take to the sweeping turns in Toledo on Saturday, August 5th for the annual 100 lap race presented by Hemelgarn / Super Fitness. Kody Swanson has won the past two Silver Crown races at Toledo Speedway.

In 2017 the format of the Glass City 200 changed from a 200 lap Outlaw Super Late Model race to two 100 lap features, one for the Outlaws and one for the ARCA/CRA Super Series template body Late Models. This year, the race format has returned to 200 laps but this time it's 200 laps for the ASA STARS National Tour (read more about return of ASA). The last ASA race at Toledo was held in 2003 and won by Coopersville, Michigan racing legend, Butch Miller. Trevor Berry and William Sawalich won last seasons' Glass City 200.

The ARCA Menards Series will again crown their Series Champion at Toledo Speedway in October 2023. Sammy Smith rose as the victor at the conclusion of a thrilling 200 lap race just a few months ago. Nick Sanchez claimed the 2022 Series Championship.
