Over $1 Million Points Fund, Bigger Payouts, Marquee Events Highlight 2025 World of Outlaws Late Model Season

CONCORD, NC (November 6, 2024) – Building on a season that produced several epic races and a three-way championship battle, the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Model Series is set to enhance that with more races and bigger payouts in 2025.

The new season presents a 57-race schedule among 32 tracks and 16 states, and points fund now over $1 million – a 20% increase overall from 2024 – that will award a Series-high $225,000 to the 2025 champion.

Along with an increased payout to every position in the championship standing – and the continuation of the Winner’s Circle program, paying teams for every time their hauler moves – 18 races on the 2025 schedule pay $20,000 or more, seven pay $50,000 or more, and every standard show pays a minimum of $12,000.

The Series will again begin its season in Florida with the DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals (Jan. 23-25) and Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals (Feb. 13-15) at Volusia Speedway Park and then travel the country before crowning the 2025 champion at The Dirt Track at Charlotte for the World of Outlaws World Finals (Nov. 5-8).

“Through the support of teams and fans, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series continues to grow every year and we’re excited to take it to the next level in 2025,” said Steve Francis, World of Outlaws Late Model Series director. “While we continue to increase the payouts for drivers and teams, we’re also building each race into a unique event that’s fun for the whole family.”

Here’s a look at the highlights of the 2025 schedule:

NEW ADDITIONS

Smoky Mountain Speedway (March 14-15): The World of Outlaws CASE Late Models return to Maryville, TN’s Smoky Mountain Speedway for a two-day St. Patrick’s Day weekend showdown. In 11 previous visits to the 3/8-mile racetrack, Series winners include Rick Eckert, Shane Clanton, Scott Bloomquist, Brandon Overton, Dale McDowell, Mike Marlar, Chris Madden, and Jimmy Owens.

Swainsboro Raceway (March 21-22): Welcoming the Series for the first visit since 2012, Swainsboro Raceway plays host for two March nights of racing that pay $12,000 to win on Friday and $15,000 to win on Saturday. The Georgia track is home to brothers Brandon and Cody Overton, who have each visited Victory Lane in a Late Model at the 3/10-mile dirt track.

Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 (June 20-21): Pevely, MO will host the World of Outlaws Late Models for the first time since 2022 with a two-day event. Friday night will pay $12,000 to win and Saturday night will pay $20,000 to win. The event will also help kick off the 2025 edition of the Heartland Grand Tour, and the two nights will be co-sanctioned with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals.

Nodak Speedway (June 29): Welcoming the World of Outlaws to Minot, ND for the first time since 1989, Nodak Speedway sets the stage for the finale of the Heartland Grand Tour in June. Billy Moyer and Mitch Johnson won the two previous Series races at the 3/8-mile dirt track.

Needmore Speedway (Sept. 12): For the second time in Series history, Needmore Speedway will see the World of Outlaws battle around the Georgia 3/8-mile racetrack for $12,000. In the only previous visit to the track in 2011, Clint Smith picked up the Feature win.

Tri-City Speedway (Sept. 26-27): The World of Outlaws Late Models will make their fourth, and fifth, visit to Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, IL in late September for a high-paying doubleheader weekend. Friday begins with a $10,000-to-win showdown, then Saturday includes $25,000 for drivers to chase. In the three previous Series starts, Darrell Lanigan, Bobby Pierce and Kyle Bronson each took a Feature win at the 3/8-mile facility.

Humboldt Speedway (Oct. 3): Making the second-ever appearance on the Series calendar, Humboldt Speedway helps kick off October with a $12,000 check up for grabs in a crucial night to score points in the championship quest for the World of Outlaws competitors. In the only visit to the Kansas track in 2022, Chase Junghans earned his fourth career Series win.

RETURNING STAPLES

Atomic Speedway (April 4-5): An early-year trip to Chillicothe, OH has the World of Outlaws and Valvoline Iron Man Late Model Series clashing at the Atomic Speedway for two nights in the Fireball 50. In the 2024 edition, Bobby Pierce and Ryan Gustin each took their dirt Late Models to Victory Lane.

Illini 100 (April 10-12): The traditional trip to Illinois’ Farmer City Raceway hosts the World of Outlaws for three nights of action, beginning with open practice on Thursday. Friday gets the racing started with 40 laps for $12,000, then Saturday’s finale gears up for 60 laps with $20,000 on the line. In the April event this year, Nick Hoffman edged out Bobby Pierce on Friday, then Pierce claimed the Saturday Feature for his second Illini 100 win.

OH-PA Swing Returns (May 15-18): Raceway 7, Marion Center Raceway, and Bedford Speedway are back for four consecutive nights of racing in the Ohio and Pennsylvania area in the month of May. More than $74,000 will be up for grabs among the four events with Raceway 7 and the first day at Marion paying $12,000 to win. The final night at Marion will pay $30,000 to win and Bedford will pay $20,000 to win.

Heartland Grand Tour (June 20-29): Alongside the June return of I-55 and Series debut at Nodak, the Heartland Grand Tour will see the World of Outlaws visit Independence Motor Speedway (June 23), I-94 emr Speedway (June 26), River Cities Speedway (June 27), and Norman County Raceway (June 28) for a total of seven races in 10 days.

$50K OR MORE

Alabama Gang 100 (April 25-26): The Talladega Short Track is back for the third year with two nights of the Alabama Gang 100 set for the end of April. Dairyland Showdown (May 1-3): Mississippi Thunder Speedway is beefing up the Dairyland Showdown in 2025 with Thursday and Friday featuring $10,000-to-win prelims. Then, Saturday night’s finale boasts an event-record $75,000 payday to the night’s champion. Hoffman and Ryan Gustin shared wins from the Wisconsin track in 2024.

46th NAPA Gopher 50 (July 3-5): The World of Outlaws Late Models will again celebrate Independence Day Weekend at Deer Creek Speedway for the NAPA Auto Parts Gopher 50. In addition to its more than $250,000 overall purse – highlighted by Saturday’s $50,000-to-win finale – the event will also feature an assortment of off-track entertainment for fans.

Sharon Speedway (July 11-12): Ohio will be a key stop for the World of Outlaws Late Models in 2025, especially with the two-day stop at Sharon Speedway boasting a $204,000 overall purse. Friday’s race will pay $12,000 to win and Saturday’s race will pay a massive $50,000 to win. Bobby Pierce swept both days at Sharon in 2024.

35th Prairie Dirt Classic (July 25-26): The biggest race in Illinois returns to the World of Outlaws calendar in 2025 with the Prairie Dirt Classic. Friday begins with four preliminary features before Saturday’s finale, which brings 100 laps and $50,000 up for grabs. Nick Hoffman led most of the 2024 event until Pierce passed him on the final lap for his first win in the crown jewel.

37th USA Nationals (July 31-Aug. 2): For the first time in the event’s history, the World of Outlaws Late Models will battle for a record $100,000 payday at Cedar Lake Speedway in the USA Nationals. Bobby Pierce captured his second USA Nationals win in 2024.

Bayou Classic (Oct. 10-11): Boothill Speedway returns to the World of Outlaws calendar in 2025 with two nights set for racing around the 3/8-mile racetrack. Friday’s racing will pay $10,000 to the winner before Saturday night’s $50,000-to-win showdown. This weekend will mark the final stop before the finale at World Finals.
