Indianapolis, IN _ In a release on social media Monday afternoon, Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park unveiled the All-Star Pavement Midgets which will run exclusively at IRP in 2025. The Series is intended to be a cost-effective way to break into open-wheel pavement racing while also providing fans an exciting product on track.
The Lucas Oil IRP All-Star Pavement Midgets will race four dates in 2025 debuting on Friday, May 23rd, then returning on Thursday, June 26th, Thursday, August 14th, and Saturday, October 18th. The speedway debuted the All-Star Pavement Midgets during the season finale event on Saturday, October 19th alongside the 500 Sprint Car Tour and National Pavement Midgets. Kyle Hamilton collected the All-Star win, Bobby Santos the National Midget win, and Tyler Roahrig took the checkers in the 500 Tour.
The All-Star Pavement Midgets will feature a $15,000 purse for a 24 car starting field. 11th--24th will pay the $325 start money, increasing to the $2,500 to win top prize. The cost-focused rule book will utilize the Focus and Eco Tech engines with a $15,000 engine claim rule. The track has also banned private testing of the car to level the playing field.
