Johnson Tops Friday Practice for JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway

Nashville, TN - Ahead of the season-ending All American 100 for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance the nearly 40 cars on property took part in two 60-minute practice sessions. After 35 cars took time, Nashville regulars mixed in well with outsiders and JEGS Tour faithful as Saturday night’s headliner looms large.

In the final practice session of the day, Nashville regular, Chase Johnson set the afternoon’s fastest time around “America’s Favorite Short Track” turning in an 18.825 in his Action Homes sponsored No.20. The Mount Juliet, TN native’s best career finish came in August of this season when he finished second to current Nashville points-leader, Dawson Sutton. Johnson is currently third in Speedway points standings heading into the final night of the season.

Albert Francis turned the second-fastest lap of the afternoon behind Johnson with help from 2024 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Champion, Blake Rowe. While Francis prepared his ASA STARS National Tour car with Donnie Wilson Motorsports, Rowe helped dial in the Francis Engineering No.33 in First Practice - allowing Francis to lay down a solid lap in second practice.

George Phillips bested the field in the opening practice session of the day and improved in second practice to a 19.044. In the last two events at the Fairgrounds Speedway, Phillips has finished fifth in his Citrusafe Racing No.55. The rest of the top five in overall practice times included Rackley Racing driver Conner Mosack, and Georgia’s Brandon Lopez.

Saturday, teams will make final adjustments during a 60-minute final practice. With 36 cars currently registered for the All American 100, it’s likely that a Last Chance Qualifier will be needed to trim the field down to the advertised 30 car starting grid. Cars 1-24 are locked in from Qualifying along with two JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Championship Points provisionals and two Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway Championship Points provisionals; the top two finishers from the LCQ would transfer to the All American 100 unless promoters add additional starters.

The All American 100 for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour runs Saturday night at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway alongside the CRA Street Stocks Powered by JEGS for the All American 40 and the Vore’s Compact Touring Series for the Pest Doctor 40. Fans can get tickets in advance at NashvilleFairgroundsSpeedway.Racing or at the gate on race day. Live coverage of Saturday’s program is also available on RacingAmerica.Tv and TrackTv.com
