Lake Odessa, MI - Officials with I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, MI have released the 2025 schedule of events which features 17 racing weekends throughout the season and one Sunday Test & Tune per month, April through August. Moving into the third season under current ownership and sophomore season calling the shots, I-96 Speedway will conduct a 6-in-1 Classic Racing program that includes DIRTcar UMP Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Street Stocks, Compacts, and Mini-Wedges. Aside from classic racing events, several traveling series will visit I-96 in 2025.
The season begins on Friday, April 25th two weeks following an April 13th Test & Tune. The Great Lakes Super Sprints Presented by Engine Pro & ARP (GLSS), a Winged 360 group, are added to the Classic Racing Night program for the first of five appearances for GLSS.
A loaded May begins on Friday, May 2nd with a Classic Racing Night featuring DIRTcar UMP Late Models as the headliner. Mother’s Day weekend brings in a Sprint Car Battle with GLSS and the non-wing 410 Great Lakes Traditional Sprints Presented by MacAllister Rentals (GLTS) on the card on May 9th. IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Compacts will offer support. A Classic Racing Night is scheduled for May 16th, with May 18th as the month’s Test & Tune. A big night is planned on May 23rd, featuring the Auto Value Autism Awareness $7,500 to win Late Model event, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, and the Midwest Dirt Compact Touring Series. May’s schedule ends on Friday, May 30th with a Classic Racing Night.
The IMCA Modifieds get their first big show of the year on Friday, June 6th with a $3,000 to win Fast Shafts All-Star Qualifier. Late Models, Pro Stocks, Street Stocks, and Mini-Wedges also remain on the schedule. Father’s Day weekend features a Classic Racing Night on Friday, June 13th, followed by a return from GLSS on Friday, June 20th plus $500 to win Compacts, IMCA Modifieds, and Street Stocks. June’s Test & Tune is Sunday, June 22nd. The Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club night is back in 2025, on Friday, June 27th as part of 4-H Kid’s Night. A Classic Racing Night lineup will be on the card.
A fairly light schedule is planned for July as the track works with the Ionia Free Fair. Suicide Awareness Night is Friday, July 18th with a return visit by the Midwest Compact Dirt Touring Series plus the Classic Racing Night lineup. Another Sunday test is on July 20th, and GLSS is back on Friday, July 25th along with a Street Stock blowout, Late Models, and IMCA Modifieds.
August begins on Friday the first with another IMCA Fast Shafts All-Star Qualifier as part of the Classic Racing nightly schedule. A thrilling Classic Racing Night is planned on Friday, August 8th. Another Battle of the Sprints is Friday, August 15th with GLSS and GLTS on the property once again; IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Compacts are also on the schedule. August’s Test & Tune is Sunday, August 17th. The penultimate event of the 2025 season welcomes the All-Star Circuit of Champions for $7,500 to win plus a $5,000 to win DIRTcar UMP Late Model show on Friday, August 22nd. The 2025 season comes to a close on Friday, August 29th for Championship Night with all six regular divisions.
