Lake Odessa, MI - Officials with I-96 Speedway announced on Saturday the Late Model Dirt Rumble on Friday, May 23rd. The event is advertised to pay $7,500 to win and $700 to start. IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks and the Midwest Dirt Compact Touring Series will also be in action.

The Late Model Dirt Rumble will be a DIRTcar UMP sanctioned event scheduled for the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. I-96 Speedway has scheduled their Late Model special on the Friday prior to the Valvoline Americna Late Model Iron Man Series' events at Butler Motor Speedway and Crystal Motor Speedway that same weekend. Butler will play host to the Series on Saturday, May 24th for the first of two stops at the facility in 2025, while Crystal will host the Iron Man Series on Sunday, May 25th for the only scheduled appearance this season.

“With the American Late Model Iron-Man Series in lower Michigan for the balance of the weekend, it only made sense for us to do a similar race on Friday night," said Larry Curtis, owner of I-96 Speedway. "We are hopeful that teams will come up a day early and join us for some exciting action.” Curtiss also noted that they are planning to open the pits earlier than normal that day to help accommodate the racers who are traveling.

Joining the Late Models, that are going 35 laps, will be the weekly IMCA Modifieds and Street Stocks. Lastly, the first of two appearances of the Midwest Dirt Compact Touring Series.

The Speedway also noted that May 23rd is Autism Awareness night.

Pre-registration has also been added, and the track plans on keeping a running list of drivers planning to attend on their social media accounts. For more information or questions, visit I96Speedway.com, or you can email the track at i96speedway1@gmail.com.
