Nashville, TN - Officials with Birch Run Speedway and Champion Racing Association have made available the digital Entry Form for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance Firecracker 100, race two of the Triple Crown at Birch Run Speedway. The second race of the series, held on Saturday, July 1st will give one driver the opportunity to cash in $7k if he plays his cards correctly all night long.
The Firecracker 100 brings drivers and fans back to Birch Run Speedway for the second time in the 2023 season. Earlier this year, Lapeer, Michigan’s Chase Burda had a perfect weekend. The former Junior Late Model Series Champion was the fastest car in final practice, won the Fast Qualifier Award, and took the lead on lap 40 leading the final 60 laps en route to his first career JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour win. Since then, Burda has maintained the lead in the Championship Points standings after a start and park at Salem and a fifth-place finish at Owosso Speedway.
Because Burda won the first race at Birch Run Speedway, the 18-year-old and his team will have a decision to make on when race time rolls around: stay in his starting spot after qualifying, or go to the tail of the field and race for a $7,000 payday. The decision for Burda gets more tempting once all the pieces of the puzzle are revealed; should Burda win from the tail and collect $7k, he’ll be eligible to go to the tail again on Saturday, September 9th for a shot at $25k.
The rest of the field is not forgotten, however. If another driver should go to Victory Lane July 1st, they’ll collect the $2,500 payday plus, if that driver meets the CRA Winner Circle criteria, a $500 bonus through the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Winner Circle Program. In fact, bonus money is available for the 10 highest-finishing teams who meet the program requirements.
Additionally, CRA members are eligible for thousands of dollars in contingency awards from partners like McGunegill Engine Performance, Quarter Master, Penske Racing Shocks, Allstar Performance, Swift Springs, DRP Performance, VDL Fuel Systems, Holly Performance, Day Racing Products, Bassett Racing Wheel, Schoenfeld Headers, Tilton, Five Star Race Car Bodies, and Aero Racing Wheels,
Non-CRA Members will also be eligible for special event awards from Hoosier Racing Tire, PitBoxes.com, Fluidyne, and KRC Power Steering.
