Atomic Speedway Commits to Sunday Show with OVSCA Headliner

Late Model Star, Devin Moran to Make Sprint Car Debut Sunday at Atomic

Chillicothe, OH - After attempting to get 1,000 fans to commit to racing this weekend and struggling to do so, Atomic Speedway announced Friday in a surprising turn of events that the speedway would indeed race on Sunday thanks to outside help from promoter, Richard Farmer.

In a social media update, Atomic Speedway said the following, " Atomic Speedway has teamed with long-time promoter, Rich Farmer to race this Sunday, April 2nd. After a great response online to the possibility of racing this weekend, even though we did not get close to our 1,000 presale ticket number, we are deciding to keep digging and race anyway," the announcement read.

Farmer is helping to boost the money on the line for the drivers of the Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association (OVSCA) in an effort to make for an even better show for the fans. The post says that there will be a $100 boost to the non-transfer money, guaranteeing $200 for all non-transfer spots, and $300 to start the A-Main. Plus, the 410 OVSCA A-Main will now pay $3,000 to win. The Sunday card will also include Modifieds and Sport Mods.

Among the growing list of drivers who are expected to unload on Sunday is 11-time World of Outlaws CASE Equipment Late Model Series winner, Devin Moran. The Dresden, Ohio native will make his Sprint Car racing debut behind the wheel of the John Shewbrooks 79A. Also expected on Sunday is 47-time AMSOIL USAC Sprint Car National Series winner and four-time World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series winner, Brady Bacon. Alongside those nationally known drivers is a well-known midwest racer, Cole Macedo. The driver who took Home Pro Racing to victory lane at East Bay Raceway Park this winter will get behind the wheel of the Rich Farmer owned No. 29.

Fans who wish to attend can still purchase pre-sale tickets online here, however, tickets will be available at the gate for the Sunday, April 2nd show.
