American Late Model Iron-Man Series Announces Valvoline Weekend Allstars Bonus

The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series is entering the second season under the direction of Chris Tilley. A merger between the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series which frequented the midsouth and southern states and the Sunoco American Late Model Series which spent time in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio brought touring late models back to the region in 2024. McClure, Ohio's, Rusty Schlenk collected the Championship in the Series' return last season. On Monday, Tilley announced that drivers will have a chance to run for a $5,000 bonus in 2025.

Dubbed the "Valvoline Weekend Allstars", CT Promotions will put up $5,000 to be crowned the champion of an eight to 10 race "mini-series" within the overall 2025 campaign. The Valvoline Weekend Allstars events will award points to the overall Iron-Man Championship as well, however, Tilley says the idea is for teams who can't commit to a 30 race Tour to have something to race for throughout the season.

"Not everyone can race nearly 30 races for a tour," Tilley says. "I want to give some more back to our racers, especially some that can't run all our events but can make some extra cash running some of them."

Of course, the possibility remains that the overall champion of the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series could win the Valvoline Weekend Allstars championship as well. That would boost the $20,000 championship payday to $25,000 at the end of the season.

Tilly says when the 2025 schedule of events is announced, the Valvoline Weekend Allstar dates will be noted at the bottom of the schedule. Additional details on the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series can be found online at imdirt.net.
